Is Countable PCR right for my application?
Early users have seen success with Countable PCR in these applications:
- Rare molecule detection — Push the limits of detection to find even the rarest molecules while measuring frequent events in the same prep
- Cell & gene therapy — Better data consistency and time savings to count partial and full viral vector genomes in the same reaction reducing the need to correlate data between platforms
- Target gene analysis — Detect gene expression changes with NGS-like precision
How is Countable PCR different from legacy methods?
- Direct counting—With direct counting you get the actual number of DNA molecules, without a standard curve or Poisson correction involved
- Easier assay setup and optimization—A one-tube protocol means fewer reactions; no standard curve and broad dynamic range remove the need for dilutions.
- Broad dynamic range—With up to 50 μL of loading volume and no microfluidics that limit template addition volume and create dead volume, you analyze a broad range of molecule abundance, from 0 to 1 million.
- Less variability—Fewer pipetting errors, higher reaction volumes, and no errors from estimations contribute to reducing experimental variability
